What products do you use?

Shannon and her team use a variety of both professional brands and more common brands that were designed to give long lasting results and photograph beautifully.  If you look through Shannon’s kit, you will find brands you may have not discovered yet as well as some of your long-time favorites:

Armani, YSL, Dior Face Atelier, Haus Labs, Hourglass, Charlotte Tilbury, M.A.C., Urban Decay, NARS, Kevyn Aucoin, Anastasia Beverly Hills, Benefit, Makeup Forever, Glossier, Patrick Ta, Makeup by Mario, Saie, Tom Ford, Ilia (and many, many more)

How long does each service take?

Bridal Look 60 Min
Lash Application 7-10 Min
Bridal Party 30 Min
Bridal Preview 90 Min per look

 

Are lashes included?

Yes. If you are booked for a full-face makeup look, lashes are included. Others not receiving makeup services have the option to add lashes at $25/application.

 

What kind of lashes do you use?

We use a variety of lashes and custom tailor each lash application to the client’s desired look and eye-shape. This may include individuals, strips, trios or a combination of all three. Lashes are one of our favorite things to customize.

 

What if I don’t want lashes?

No problem. Your artist will give you a look you are comfortable with and maximize the lashes you have.

 

What is the best way to battle tanlines?

Don’t get them! Keep your neckline of your dress in mind while frolicking in the sun. There is no great way to cover tan lines without adding makeup to most of your upper body.

 

Do you do body makeup?

With every bridal makeup, we will conceal minor blemishes and highlight the decollatage and arms (if neckline of dress allows). This is not included in bridal party services. Additional services (ie tattoo cover up, body coverage) will require additional time, special product and be subject to additional charges. We must be notified in advance if any of these additional services are required. Otherwise we will not be responsible for them.

 
 

BOOKING + PAYMENt

 

How far in advance should I book?

We open our books 12 months in advance. Minimums apply to all Fridays and Saturdays. Those who wish to book for the full day or buy out the weekend will be able to book ahead of the 12 month window.

 

How do I reserve the date?

A signed contract and $500 retainer is required to reserve your date. All dates are considered available until these items are received. The retainer will be put towards your final bill and is non-transferable and non-refundable. No holds are given. An inquiry is not a hold.

 

Do you hold dates?

No. We will not hold a date with out a signed contract and deposit.

 

Are there minimums?

SHANNON: Fridays + Off Peak Saturdays: Half Day Booking // Peak Saturdays: Full Day

BRIDAL TEAM: Bride + 5 Minimum (or dollar equivalent)

ADDITIONAL ARTIST: 5 Service Minimum (or dollar equivalent)

 

Can I add more services later?

You are guaranteed the number of services included in your agreement. Additional services are subject to the discretion and availability of the artist and the team. Each artist can take up to 8 makeups on their own. We cannot promise additional artists will be available after time of contract.

 

Can I remove services?

The cancellation policy also includes individual services and may require partial payments as outlined in the cancellation policy payment terms. Service minimums apply.

 

What payment do you accept?

Retainer fee can be paid via credit card or bank transfer. One payment for the final outstanding balance can be made via check or secure bank transfer Zelle or QuickPay. All payments are due by the end of services.

 

When is my bridal preview?

In our experience, booking this appointment 2-4 months before the wedding day is most beneficial as you have a clearer vision and details are falling in place. 

Previews will not be held on Saturdays. You will receive a link with availability so you can book your appointment. Other arrangements can be made based on availability.

Team Previews are held on weekdays at Shannon’s studio in Lincoln Park.

Your preview is not guaranteed to line up with a special event.

 

Where is my bridal preview?

Previews are held at Shannon’s Lincoln Park Studio. (Armitage + Fremont)

 

Do you provide services for large parties?

Oh yeah! Large bridal parties are our favorite.  Typically, each artist can take up to 8 applications. Additional artists are available for larger parties as long as the booking minimum is met for each artist. There is a 5 service minimum per additional artist. Shannon works with a select group of talented + vetted makeup artists.

 

Do you travel?

Yes! I will travel near and far to my brides. Travel fees depend on location. Destination wedding? I’ve been lucky enough to glam multiple brides coast to coast and Mexico, Hawaii + Italy. Please ask about destination wedding packages.

 

What about touchups?

Each booking includes 15min of touchups immediately after services are complete. If you would like to add additional coverage, this must be booked in advance and ideally at time of contract. Touchup coverage is booked hourly and charged as outlined in the pricing sheet. If you request your artist to leave and come back, you will be charged for the time in between services. If there are multiple locations, travel and parking fees will be applied as necessary.

 

Rehearsal Dinner Makeup

Our team prioritizes our contracted weddings. Because of this, we will only book rehearsal dinner makeups 2 months in advance (to allow for timelines to finalize).

If you would like to lock services with your artist in earlier, you are welcome to contract your artist for their service minimum for that day.

Most weddings allow us to place a soft hold for a 3pm rehearsal dinner appointment. This is not guaranteed. Let us know if you are interested to see what is possible for your date.
